Lauren Bedal works at the intersection of choreography & human-AI interaction, bringing critical insight to how computational systems interpret human movement and presence. She champions "the body as interface", advocating for designers to think beyond the screen to consider how the body shapes our technological future. At Google's Advanced Technology and Projects group, she worked on Project Soli's gesture recognition technology, designing proximity, gesture and biometric experiences for consumer devices. Currently Design Lead at Archetype AI, she designs AI systems that understand the physical world through sensor data. Her unique integration of choreographic thinking with spatial computing has resulted in multiple patents, publications, and recognition from The New York Times, Wired, Forbes, and Fast Company.
