Shubham Jumde
Product & Marketing Designer @ SMRT Systems, Inc.
Shubham Jumde is a product and marketing designer who is curious about people, behavior, and the little moments that shape how we experience the world. His work is inspired by the space between physical and digital experiences and how design can make those interactions feel more thoughtful, intuitive, and human.
Recently, Shubham has been exploring how emerging tools and faster prototyping methods can help teams bring ideas to life earlier in the process. He’s interested in how making concepts feel real sooner can lead to better conversations around users, product direction, and impact.
At UX Y’all, Shubham is excited to share his perspective, learn from the broader UX community, and connect with others who care about thoughtful, inclusive, and intentional design.
Designing for Trust: What a 30-Year-Old Laundromat Taught Me About UX
When our team acquired a 30-year-old laundromat, I assumed it needed modernization. What I discovered instead was a community built on trust, routine, and human connection. Through customer conversations, service redesign, environmental improvements, bilingual experiences, digital touchpoints, and system thinking, we learned that great design isn't always about introducing something new. Sometimes it's about understanding what already works and enhancing it without disrupting the people who rely on it. This session shares how a laundromat became a living UX case study, revealing how small changes across an entire service ecosystem can improve customer experiences, and create value beyond what traditional metrics can measure.
