Dan Mauney

Dan Mauney is the Director of Retail and Wealth Experience Design at Truist, where he leads the teams that create the experience design for Truist Online Banking and Truist.com. Dan graduated from Virginia Tech with a Ph.D. in Human Factors, after which he has worked at a number of startups (Jabra, Mobileum), tech companies (Nokia, AT&T Labs), consulting companies (HumanCentric), and now Truist. Dan has spent his career championing Usability Research, built high tech usability labs for multiple companies, and at Truist, has fully integrated usability research into the design process, yielding impressive results. When not advocating for the user, Dan can be found advocating for fresh powder on the ski slopes.
