Timothy Ballew

Tim ran his own UX consulting company, 8-bit Bear, for 11 ½ years. After consulting full-time with Vrbo for 18 months, he decided to make the transition to full-time employee. He enjoys his role as a lead UX researcher where he focuses on the traveler experience, running studies on features like the in-house built virtual tour engine. He was also responsible for designing Vrbo’s new lab spaces, including selecting the equipment. Tim holds two Masters degrees, one in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Stephen F. Austin and one in Human Factors (HCI) from Texas Tech, where he studied video game usability.
